Project
This was an extensive project, starting with the demolition of the existing former vicarage, attached residential property and detached garages. We then constructed a new arrow-shaped, three-storey residential complex comprising nine high-end apartments, all of which were fitted with master ensuite bathrooms, private balconies and terraces.
The construction was carried out to meet EWS compliance and the building includes solar panels and a green roof with wildlife provision for bird nesting and insect houses. We also carried out light landscaping and installed facilities for cycle and refuse storage, together with a disabled parking space.
The site had a small footprint and was adjacent to a school. This meant there was limited space for a compound and site traffic and deliveries had to be carefully managed. During the time of construction we had to deal with Covid restrictions and Brexit trade issues. In addition to all this we were asked to undertake the fit-out element within the same timescale, even though the original contract had specified shell and core only. So we are especially proud to have completed this build successfully.
