Project
This Romanesque-style church was designed by Joseph Goldie. Built in the 1930s it has been described as ‘a thumping great church’. Refurbishment was long overdue, with the services out of date and failing, internal redecoration required and the exterior render in need of replacement.
As the project progressed, we were also required to replace the roof tiling; doing so sympathetically with a specialist church architecture restoration expert. When the floor was taken up to install new services we discovered a considerable amount of asbestos lagging which was dealt with.
The project was completed in its entirety during the Covid-19 pandemic. We were able to work and keep the site safe following the CLC guidance and our own safeguarding measures.
