Project
Stanley Arts Centre is an arts complex housed in a Grade II listed Edwardian property, near Norwood Junction. The buildings were designed and donated to the local community by William Ford Robinson Stanley (1829-1909), a prominent local inventor, industrialist and philanthropist.
It is one of South London’s premiere arts and performance venues, providing the local community with a vital home for cultural expression and discovery.
The works undertaken included external roofing and general maintenance work, the refurbishment of the existing bar and installing a new mezzanine floor in the basement to create a beer cellar. We also refurbished the former Art Gallery for use as a rehearsal and dance studio and installed DDA-compliant toilets and access.
